This report gives the information about the noise study of shoulder and transverse rumble strips on rural highways. There are two case studies on two different kind of rumble strips. Case study-I is on shoulder rumble strips, where noise of the vehicles are recorded when vehicle is travelling on rumble strip and impact of the noise due to speed is known. Case study-II is on transverse rumble strips, where the speed of the vehicle travelling at transverse rumble strip A and transverse rumble strip B are known. Due to the deceleration of vehicle from rumble strip A and rumble strip B, the impact of the rumble strip is known.
